The Ozark Empire Fairgrounds and Dickerson Park Zoo (click that one to see that time I got to feed a giraffe!) are both within a seven-minute drive. Home2Suites Springfield North is actually in a perfect location if you’re visiting Springfield on vacation and want to do some sightseeing! An extended stay hotel near the interstate? Is it sketchy? I can answer that with a definite NO! Although the suites are designed to be comfortable if you’re staying a while, they do start at around $150 a night so this isn’t the kind of extended stay property that you find locals living at. Now if you went on as many road trips as I did as a kid, I know what you may be thinking. The location is great – it’s near where Glenstone Avenue meets I-44, so you’re close to all kinds of restaurants and attractions, but also just off the interstate if you happen to be stopping for the night on a road trip. I stayed at Home2 Suites in Springfield North, which as you might guess from the name is on the north side of Springfield, Missouri. I was placed on the 2nd out of 3 floors, but the hotel was sold out that night, so that’s understandable. I mentioned it to the Suiteness team, and they hooked me up with a free night! It was perfect timing because I wanted to spend some time car shopping in Springfield, so spending the night there would make it easy to test drive a bunch of cars in one trip.
